I am a 33 year old woman with OCD. I have the "pure O" type of OCD where I have the obsessive, intrusive, unwanted thoughts most of the time. I have recently lost my high paying job because of my OCD. I am now working $9/hour at a spa and living with my parents. Life has done a 180 in a year. I'm just trying to hang on.

Welcome :) I am currently managing OCD with no obvious compulsions. I have been reduced from a high-paid professional to an unemployed care giver. You are not alone and it does get better.

Yes dear wrt to ur blog, I am similar. It is called
pure -o . The mind does the continuous obsessing and the obsession itself can change from one thing to the next in an instant.

Meds and therapy, particularly cognitive behavioural therapy can help so talk to your therapists and see how early you can get started on these.

Also I have found countless help from self help books. One on particular for me has been "Stop Obsessing " by Edna Foa. There are others but this one has included pure -o.
