Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)

Hi. I am a 41 year old married mother of three. I have everything I ever thought I wanted: a good husband, kids, live in a small town - and one thing I never planned on - living with OCD. I have suffered with OCD since my early twenties. I think I always had some OCD tendencies but my OCD really hit after my first child was born. My OCD mainly revolves around contamination fears and checking. I've tried some meds and a little behavioral therapy on my own and I can function enough to be a pretty good mom and work part-time but the OCD is always there and sometimes I feel like an actor in my own life. I have a renewed ambition to try to improve my quality of life and I started reading about OCD again but this is my first attempt to connect with others who also suffer from OCD.
