ABOUT ME

-I'm 47, I've had OCD since my teenage years. I have periods where it is pretty well under control, and then periods where it is not. I have a wonderful, supportive wife and son. I have two lovable yellow labs. I enjoy helping others with OCD, and I find that it helps me to help others. I currently take Lexapro, which is working well for me and see a therapist. I'm here to help. Message me or invite me to chat. I know that people can have a great life (even with OCD). It's all about helping yourself, helping others, hard work, and never giving up.

You know what I took your advice and told a couple of people. First they asked what were my symptoms. Then they started freaking out saying they do that to. One person told my she just thought she was crazy. But they both are really going to check into it. It felt good to share but know I feel like I almost but a burden on them that wasn't there before. So it was bitter sweet. I just started meds. The night time ones work well but not the day ones. But they said it could take 4 weeks for them to work. I have my first head doctors appointment tomorrow. I'm really nervous cause I don't know what to expect. But thank you for your advice. How Is your ocd going?
