candied ginger, ginger chips, ginger ale, ginger tea, giner snaps...im eating all this ginger to try and calm my stomach.  i am still sick...almost another month has passed, the school finally got my laptop back to me, it was supposed to be fixed but of course it is not.  i am going to need a new one.  im still hating my life. i just took a bubble bath to try and relax.  all i have had to eat today is pasta.  what the hell is in me that hurts so bad.  i go to see the stomach specialist june 5th.  i am getting a colonoscopy and a upper endoscopy.  i hope they do find something because i want them to fix it.  i dont want this to be just another dead end.  i have lost 23 pounds.  this isnt healthy and isnt right...

I can relate to u all to well..had chronic diverticulitis in the mid 90's & had to have many of the same diagnostic tests run *ur symptoms are different so please PLEASE don't develop another obsession with this*..dano's recommendation is good..also in the short term drinking weakened tea & eating some plain white rice..both r very soothing on the tummy..good luck..

I have found Elavil to be helpful in calming a troubled stomach and increase appetite.  In fact, it's very difficult not to gain weight on Elavil.  It has also improved my anxiety and depression - and curbs OCD some.  It's not perscribed as much now because of the SSRI Zoloft, Paxil, etc.. Good Luck
