I am sure you have it in you to say NO!.  Think about how the OCD is taking away your time, energy and happiness....get mad at it.  There is no reason that you should not be happy.  Yes, it will not happen overnight.  However, give the OCD a good strong push back ("kick in the ass"); it may not stop the OCD but at least you are putting it on notice that you are going to start pushing back.  Hope you feel better.  Best.  Rob

Hi I have been where you are but I am happy to say I am better now because I tried a little bit at a time and each time it got easier.  I am not all better but i am working hard.  I know you can do it.  Hang in there and I wish you much success.  If you need anything let me know.  Take care

I know how you feel. I'm supposed to be doing an exposure with driving. And lots of days I just don't have it in me like you said. But once I make up my mind that I'm going to do it, it's easier. I have to get past the feeling of just not doing it and think, ok, I'm going to do this. I really do know it's hard, but please hang in there. You can do it. It's hard to fight, but try to fight a little. Maybe not a lot, but try a little. Baby steps I always say. Sometimes I guess we have to dig deep to find the fight, but it's there. I wish you well. You'll let us know how you're doing? Take care then.

It's very scary I know.  Try to figure out which of your obsessions is the least scariest and start there. It's definitely a leap of faith, especially the first time, but you can do it.  Once you experience a bit of success, it gets much easier.  Don't be discouraged if at some point you can't do it or slip back. We are all human, and we all experience set backs from time to time. You can always try again another time. It's the effort you put into it that is theraputic. The more you try, the more success you'll have.
