Hey there honey, I have been thinking about you. I have had OCD for most of my life, but since having my baby my obsessions have revolved around her. I have started to obsess that I could be capable of harming her.  So you are definately not alone in your experience with this brain disorder. I really feel for you, but trust me 'this too shall pass'.

I have talked to many people with this particular obsession. I have had a form of it myself in regard to my kids and hubby. I used to worry about contaminating their food, drinks, medicine - anything that they would ingest. It was nightmarish. I had Pure O at one point at the same time and worried for 6 months that I had contaminated milk that they drank. It ran through my head nonstop for that whole time and I thought for certain I would go crazy. It was all revolving around a particular disease fear that I've had since I was younger.

My experience is that OCD seems to evolve as you get older. I have had different forms of it except scrupulosity...I doubt I will ever have that. Right now my issues are with collecting and hoarding. My house is full of stuff everywhere especially unopened boxes of things I have bought.

I'm here if you ever want to talk.

-Hi! This is a huge OCD obsession...many, many people have this. I have it. If people truly "acted" on this fear...and you won't...the prisons would be full of people that OCD. And they just aren't. It happens pretty much never. I know it's scary and painful, but hang in there. Do you have any books about OCD? If not get one and start some reading. Be well.
