So today i finally told my brother (who is 26, 8 years older than me) about my ocd. He just laughed. Then said, "I've always suspected that you had ocd too." What? Apparently he has ocd. That came as a surprise. I didn't believe him at first. When i asked him what his obsessions were, one was the same as mine, hocd (fear of being a homosexual). He's been married for two years now. He had hocd in high-school, just like me. What relief to know that my brother, my idol since i was little, struggled with the same thing i did. It's even more comforting to know that he overcame that particular obsession and is happily married and on pace to graduate from medical school in a month. He still struggles with obsessions, but according to him has improved 100% since he underwent therapy. What a great source too, my best friend and role model. I haven't felt this good in months

Well, it's unfortunate for your brother that he also has OCD, but that's great that you have someone who you trust so much that you can relate to and talk to about it.  I also have a family member who had serious problems with OCD in the past, and it helps me to have someone who has a clear idea of what I'm going through.  I'm glad you're feeling better.  :)

Wow, that's cool. I read that you're Pure-O. What other obsessions have you had?
