ABOUT ME

Married mom of two work part-time, heading back to full-time in September. OCD runs in my family. I remember OCD as far back as 5 years old so it's been with me for awhile now. I am a checker, counter, and very over protective of my children. I have to check locks,stove,oven,iron..mostly hot things because I am terrified of fire or any intruder hurting my family. Which is normal for a parent to be concerned about but I get up at night to check and recheck. I also worry about contamination hurting my kids or dog. I hide my OCD very well I think, my best friend doesn't notice or have any idea I have OCD. My husband thinks it's weird and we don't talk about it...long story. I don't have anyone to really talk to about my OCD so I am happy I found this site :)

Hi Sam. Feel free to rant to me anytime you please :) I know how stressful it is to be trying to find a new job (especially now) while still working at the job you want to leave - plus trying to be a good mom. My ocd always increases when I am tired or under alot of stress. Sometimes you just have to take a break to find the strengh to keep going. I pray that you will find something soon. I'm here anytime you need a friend to talk to. Sherri

Yes, we're pretty much ready for school. Ours starts on Aug. 26 which is early compared to when I was in school too. In Ohio, it is usually still pretty hot in August and most schools here don't have AC so I don't get it. Oh well. All my kids wear uniforms so i can imagainge how expensive it is to buy "stylish" clothes for your daughter too. My kids also seem to think that they have to be involved in a million different sports and activities too so things get even a little more crazy when school starts:) We just have to get back in a routine...no more lazy summer days. BTW, are you still planning on going to full-time at work in September?
