Hi everyone! I make a living as a freelance writer and seminar leader, have been happily married to the girl of my dreams for 30+ years, and live in upstate NY. (And although writing has been a respectable livelihood of mine for a long time, my handle "rich_writer" refers to my first name, not wealth. You'd be amazed how many IMs I get on Yahoo from people who think I am a "rich writer." :)

I am also studying to be a psychotherapist, and am about halfway through grad school and about to start my first practicum as a therapist. This path springs less from OCD and more from a lifetime of teaching people how to communicate, and I am enjoying the journey.

On the writing front, I mostly write for other people, but am proud of being a nationally-published author with several books in print, mostly on business self-help topics. I am not exactly famous, but part of the reason I am shy about posting a picture here is that my smiling face is probably at your local bookstore!

OCD-wise, I suffer from contamination OCD and generally manage it well, but am always open to learning new things. Nice to join the community!

Still nothing. Must be still busy, busy, busy. Hey, I'm looking up at your info section - what's going on with your psychotherapy endeavor?

I have to pee! Sucks that I had to have coffee before coming here. Now, I have to go back home and it's such a major pain to go down those steep stairs and get outside again. How's your Thursday night going over there?

Don't forget to keep writing on here, Rich! I think you've got a real gift. The more candid, the better, I say!

Oh yeah, I've discovered these PC cafes that're all over the place and they're open 24/7. They're mainly for PC gaming, which I have just no clue about, but I'm grateful they're here. Lots going on in my life and head right now, I'm spinning, literally. Thanks for hearing me out a little tonight. Take care of yourself.

I'd love to spill my guts yet again. Alas, it's now 3:30 in the morning and I'm about to pass out. And I still have to walk home, just one block or so, but still. I am wearing these brand new heels 'cause I'm an idiot and thought I'd break them in today. So, now, I've got bloody heels, you know, feet backs - how's that for something? Genius. Thanks for telling me about your time in China. Agoraphobia and then a brand new country and teaching, sounds a tad like me. You ought to blog about that. I'd love to read about it. Big yawn, pardon me. I've been drinking these little packet coffees with cream and sugar all in one - have you heard of these things? It's perfect for one cup and there's zero waste. Now, that's genius. I do miss the scent of brewing coffee, though. And the Won has dropped. Boo for Korea, Hooray for the dollar. I'm torn. Have a great night, Rich! Thanks for coming around.
