Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)

I have been only recently diagnosed with OCD, but have had symptoms for about 10 years. I feel the need to confess every bad thing i've done to my wife, and it drives her crazy. I obsess about my health, my heart especially, since i was diagnosed with cardiomyopathy 4 years ago. More recently, I started having obsessive thoughts about harming my wife or kids....those are the worst. I'm a totally non-violent type of person, I have never thought of doing anything like it. I know it's part of the disorder, but it still hurts at times to have these thoughts. God is faithful though and I know he helps me through this. The Bible says to be alert at all times, because the devil is always looking for someone to devour. I notice that with OCD, i always have to be mentally alert, otherwise i'll start obsessing without even knowing it!
