Well Hello.  It seems that I missed some sort of blog war.  I notice that I am now number 10 and it does kind of disturb me to think that I may not be in the top 10 for very  much longer.

But, seriously, I just want to ask a question... Does anyone else have this problem because I think it is the ocd (my dad did this all the time.)  This is the thing...I worry and stress about the most stupid little things sometimes and then when something really big comes up it seems kind of like no big deal.  For example, my husband found out on Monday that he lost his job and was not getting paid for the month.  You would think that would be enough to push me over the edge but I am taking it in stride.

My dad used to freak out about little things all the time and then something huge would come up and I would think he was going to blow a gasket and he would be like..."don't worry, it's ok..."

Does anyone else do this?

Sometimes I find the "little" things are easier to worry about than the big things ...I think I have a inside mechanism that protects my emotions and brain from blowing up over the bigger things....or it's easier on me to just pretend they really aren't as big of a deal as they may be...if that makes any sense...Hugs and Prayers..and you didn't miss much...lol.  Laura

That is the story of my life.  lol   The more horrible the problem, the more calm I am.  Now a broken nail or water spilt on the floor before company and I'm freaking out!  lol

YES.  The calm I feel with some of the big stuff is weird.  eerily calm.  When it happens, I'm like..."well, I guess I can't complain about this!  but it's WEIRD."

I'm not sure whether it has to do with the 'unavoidable'-ness (is that even a word??!!)  of the situation when big stuff happens or if it has to do with the immediate alignment of reality into the worst-case scenario...making me univalent rather than ambivalent....

y'know...I'm not sure if my response is very clear.  rambleramble.

call me ambivalent, but it's more like fiending.

Yes I think I do that too.  I can't think of any specific examples, but there have been times where I look back and think to myself, "wow I'm amazed I how well I handled this huge event, but look how I freaked out at this little thing in comparison!"
