Our evening out

Jay,
Mason
and
I
are
relaxing
after
a
night
out.
Every
year
there
is
a
festival
of
the
horse
downtown
with
a
parade
and
booths
set
up.
There
are
places
to
eat
and
vendors
all
downtown.
Mason
wanted
to
go,
but
Jay
didn't
tell
him
until
after
he
got
out
of
school
so
Mason
was
excited
to
find
out
we
were
going.
We
parked
and
walked
to
town
and
watched
the
parade
and
walked
around
all
of
the
booths.
Mason
played
a
game
and
won
a
prize.
While
the
parade
was
going
on
they
threw
out
candy
and
Mason
got
a
bunch
of
that.
He
has
it
all
lined
up
on
the
floor,
seperated
out
into
suckers,
gum,
and
hard
candy.
We
did
a
lot
of
walking
so
I
didn't
think
Mason
had
a
very
good
time,
but
when
I
asked
him
if
he
had
fun
he
said,
"A
lot
of
fun."
I
was
glad
we
went
even
though
my
back
was
hurting
and
Jay's
leg
was
hurting..we
did
it
for
Mason.
I'm
so
glad
we
went.
We
got
home
and
Jay
and
Mason
have
been
watching
tv
and
I
have
been
reading
a
book
my
counselor
let
me
borrow.
(Btw,
this
is
a
good
book
for
couples
and
married
people...it's
called
The
Five
Love
Languages,
by
Gary
Chapman.)
I've
decided
to
give
Mason
a
small
allowance
for
doing
chores
around
the
house.
He
will
be
cleaning
out
the
litter
box,
cleaning
up
after
the
cats,
feeding
the
cats
and
Simey,
and
taking
the
trash
out
if
it's
not
too
heavy.
Also
picking
up
after
himself,
which
is
a
challenge
in
itself.
He
has
no
other
way
of
earning
money
to
buy
Wii
games,
or
things
he
wants
so
I've
decided
to
give
him
a
little
bit
of
money
for
doing
these
things.
Maybe
it
will
teach
him
the
value
of
money
also.
The
boys
are
out
of
school
for
fall
break
next
week.
We
don't
plan
on
going
on
a
vacation
or
anything
but
it
will
be
good
to
just
relax
with
them.
We
might
get
out
and
do
a
few
things,
but
mostly
just
stay
here
in
town
except
for
my
appointments.
I
will
still
have
Lacey
during
the
day
so
that
will
be
interesting
for
the
boys.
I
hope
she
doesn't
wake
Corey
up!
He
doesn't
do
well
when
he
gets
woke
up.
Well
I
just
wanted
to
write
about
our
good
night.
Hope
you
are
all
having
a
good
weekend.
My
positive
for
today
and
the
weekend
is
spending
time
with
my
family
and
having
my
coffee
in
the
mornings.
