Hi there...150 mg of Sertraline (or Zoloft) is not a high dosage at all. For people with OCD, 300 mg or more is often prescribed. it is sort of annoying that a medication that can be metabolized and out of your system in 24 hours can take so long to start working. Six weeks is a while, but it can take longer. You may want to talk to your doctor about upping the dosage to kick-start the process.

Symptoms you describe where you feel you made it through and are ready to get back only to have another rough patch pop up are common. I don't think anyone gradually and steadily slips out of OCD symptoms. You generally (and hopefully) start to improve and have minor relapses which lessen with time. The "vacant" feeling you get is quite common. Keep in mind that when our pain is eased even a little bit, we all feel a bit vacant because we were carrying an enormous load prior to the easing. When the load has been lightened, we suddenly have "mental space" open up and no way to contend with it.
