well its nearly been 3 weeks on sertraline and i feel abit better,my thoughts are not as often and don't linger as much as they did, its still horrible when you get them about people you love and care about giving you thoughts that you hate them.ocd really does turn you up side down and inside out ,but i guess you just have to keep those thoughts away from who you really are.i am on 100mg of sertraline and might see if they can increase it again to blow out the cobwebs lol be nice to hear from people on sertraline(zoloft) and how long it took for them to get back to normal(what ever that is ) Homer J

I understand you very well. I too suffer from those unwanted thoughts about my loved ones and when it first happened to me I just wanted to die as I didn't know what it was. These days I can deal with the thoughts better but still have bad doubting times. I'm not taking any meds but sometimes I feel like I should for sure. About 2 years ago when all this first started I asked the doctor for zoloft but they said they didn't have it in Ireland. I couldn't believe it. He gave effexor instead, it didn't do anything for thoughts and it increased my anxiety just helped with depression. I heard form people who were on zoloft how good it is. There is always people that some type of meds just wont suit them but I think zoloft is one of the meds that talked more positively about then negative.
