Hello everyone. I am in my second week at uni and I hate it. I miss my family and friends I have at home. I haven't made any new friends here. I don't think I can survive another 3 years. I'll definately have a nervous breakdown or something (no joke). But I don't want to give up my place because it is a good university. I really don't know what to do.

Anyway, I was just wondering if anyone has ever organised an event. I went on the events page and it was blank. Someone should organise something. I'd like to go.

hi, sorry you're having such a hard time. i think it would be worthwhile for you to stick with it a bit longer, what is it you don't like about it, the people you're with? things get easier in time and making friends can also come with that. i don't know about organising events, it would mean getting people from certain areas together, but you could always have a go at organising an event or a meeting and see if people would attend?
