Big trip planned for the weekend. Mind racing. No control. Telling myself it will be fine, but thoughts are nonstop.

Where are you going? I get anxious before I travel as well. What if you just sat with the thoughts for a moment? Sometimes telling yourself you will be fine backfires because the continual intrusive thought cycle continues. I know it's tough to do, but just let the thoughts come and go and don't give so much attention to it. If you can distract yourself while the thoughts are there, even better. Your anxiety will go down if you can distract yourself--b/c the thoughts won't seem as powerful. Good luck--I hope your trip goes well.
