I am four months pregnant now and it scares me to hell. Sometimes I feel I was not ready for this, yet at times i feel good. However the thing that scares me is the actual birth...I cannot imagine myself  in the delivery room....or maybe the operation theatre...strange faces....scary looking instruments, oxygen cylinders...the creepy looking machines...i am terrified of everything. The doctor tells me to enjoy my pregnancy but the thought of all this makes me anxious at all times and  once again i have begun my rituals. My husband has been very supportive so far..I manage to keep several rituals from him..but I dont know for how long.....I see terrible dreams.....I feel so helpless......

Awww...Congrats!!!  Like they said, it normal to be anxious, especially if this is your first!!   I was that way too.  Just write down any questions you have and ask your doctor about them when you go to your appointments.  Most hospitals make you do a tour of the delivery area and pre-register.  Thats a good idea to do, it may make you feel a little better about where you will be.

Trust me by the time you hit that delivery room, if you choose meds then you will want them and that baby out.  You will not care about pretty much anything but that!!

My experience has been great for all 3 of mine.  The hospitals are trying to make the rooms more comfortable and the staff all have been extremely helpful and knowledgable.

Do not feel bad , it's perfectly normal to be anxious when your pregnant .  I don't have OCD and I was incredibly anxious when i was pregnant with my son and then giving birth to him was incredibly scary , the fact that I had to have a C section on the spir of the moment was really scary for me .  Your not by yourself , weather you have OCD or not being pregnant and giving birth  & having a child that will depend upon you for the next 18 or so yrs is a very scary thing .   Just know that you are in my thoughts & prayers
