Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)

I am currently undergoing EMDR therapy and have seen significant results. I deal with depression and anxiety. . I am currently researching its effectiveness for OCD, which my daughter suffers from.

I think it is worth checking into and trying if you are interested. I have done talk therapy, which I have met with mixed and limited lasting results.

This does not work for everyone, but it can for many.

i don't know how good emdr works but i have heard that trauma therapy has been effective with ptsd. i  want to do some research on it for myself. you should ask your doc about it.

ok i just looked up emdr therapy and its something to do with eye movement and vibrations. i dont really see how that will help. very odd to me. but it may not be necessary to have it. i would ask people and get more info on it

hi ive never heard of the emdr therapy but im very familiar with ptsd. ive had it since i was a teenager. i say anything is worth trying. you dont know if it will help unless you try it. just dont not do anything about it. i know flashbacks are scary and disturbing. talking about it and writing it down helps. just find what works for you. im sure any kind of therapy would be good therapy. i would do research on it but dont let hearing about negatives stop you from getting that help..maybe it helps some and some others not. anything is worth a try. dont know if this helps but i hope you get help and have the best of luck with this

 I have never heard of it but maybe it is worth trying to see it may have helped or not helped others we are all different maybe it will work for you but doesn't for others. Good luck i would be interested in learning about it more.

I had a therapist that attempted to try it with me once. I was too nervous, or let myself think I was too nervous, so we stopped during the beginning of it. Now I wish I would have gone further into it, I believe it would have helped me with my struggles now to simply let go of things. I would say do it if you have nothing to lose by doing it.
