Hey gang. Been busy with work, so I have been neglectful of the Tribe. Had something I wanted to share. So, I have a bunch of necklaces and other jewlery I wear. 3 necklacs and about 5 bracelets and a ring. Well, sometimes, it's gets heavy. And I want to wear other stuff, but I can't because it would just be smothered by what I am wearing. But I can't take them off. They are my good luck, my security. So my threapist said I should try, and only try, taking off something tomorrow. A necklace mostly, but I can go smaller--like my ring. Of course, if I begin to feel overwhemling anxiety, I can put it back on. I'm thinking of just carrying it in my pocket. I don't know. She said not to completely force myself, because it will back fire. Just nervous about the consequences... but anxious to make it work. Wish me luck or share your success stories about doing something similar! Thanks.

 I am rooting for you ...I would start with the ring and have it in your pocket...perhaps if it is close to you it will lessen the anxiety and then you can take a step further once your comfortable. I am proud to hear of any member furthering their struggle with OCD and hownthey are doing it and I wish you all the success in the world.

 Thanks so much guys. I wasn't able to do it today. :( BUT I feel hopeful for Friday. (anytime I change something, it has to be on a Monday, Wednesday, Friday, or Sunday). Just was having breakfast with my dad and didn't want anything to get in the way. Which is what I fear.

You can do it be strong.


i had something with my clothes i had an outfit for every day of the week and couldn't change it or swap them around for example i couldn't wear Wednesday clothes on a Tuesday had to be Wednesday but my psychologist slowly got me out of that i started with putting Mondays top on with Tuesdays trousers or buying something new and wearing it and im glad to say i no longer have an issue with my clothes anymore so if i can do i know you can GOOD LUCK.
