I have had OCD probably since I was a kid. I constantly check that all stove top, faucets and light switches are closed before I leave the house. I will check this about 6 times before I leave, and god forbid that my pattern gets interrupted!!Same thing goes with checking my car doors etc..
I'm not sure why I am like this but I'm going to cure it cause it is tapping into other things that are bringing me down. I am also a perfectionist to the point that I can never complete something that I am passionate about cause it has to be perfect.

I am also paranoid about little things and have ADD, low self esteem. I hide my true feelings with a smile because I do not want to hurt anybodys feelings by showing how I really feel. I hate confrontations.. Help

hi how are u? I understand what u mean about haveing to check everything before u can go out. It is taking up our time, and stops spontanaiety, everything has to be planned. the perfectionism is a trait that comes with ocd. It would be nice to just be relaxed and do things without thinking so much. take care.
