Funky,sassy,positive...no time to waste
Had ocd all my life.Learnt to live with it with the aid of CBT therapy and medication.Try to use the 'good' aspects and ignore the bad.
I have pretty much all symptoms except the handwashing one...checking is a big one of mine.
I only recently felt brave enought to get help as in the u.k. it's relatively unknown (or has been until lately...) Would love to meet others here!Oh yes, and I'm also a mum of 2 and a self employed designer of retro/vintage home items, so very busy!!!(trying to not let ocd rule my life!)I think there's a big positive side to ocd and try to focus on that.We are sometimes highly motivated,sensitive people who have amazing organisational skills and energy.The down side is hard, very hard but through CBT and meds, I try and focus on the good bits!!
