I'm on here because I suffer from "contamination ocd". More specifically avoiding sexually transmitted diseases even though I'm in a monogamous relationship and neither of us has stds.I fear that somehow an std could spread through other forms of contact.

Hang in there and try to take deep breaths... Try and look at the OCD and see what is real and what is not... fight to get past the what is not real and take small steps that you can achieve and get your confidence up with...

You want help and you CAN do this!

Hey, Good / Bad! My parents decided it would be best to get me treatment so I actually drove from Denver all the way to West Hollywood. I'm getting treatment soon (starting tuesday) at the OCD Center of Los Angeles. The bad news is my lips got super chapped somehow during the drive and I haven't even gone out since I've gotten in Hollywood. I have been putting tons of lip balms and stuff on them, and I'm fearing that this whole fiasco is going to turn into a cold sore. I'm living in some amazing place though in the Hollywood Hills that is like ridic nice. Too bad I'm a recluse due to my lips :(

Thank you so much!! :) I`ll keep the tribe updated! :) wow, I sooo relate to the "About me" part. That`s my biggest OCD issue too! I even think I`m gonna catch something from touching money and other public things... :/ And if I see a red/pink/brown stain (blood!?) I freak out! hehe. Maybe there is some kind of exposure treatment where you live too! :)

Jonathan Grayson (Author) . I'm not trying to sell this book or anything but it's really good, this guy understands OCD to a tee.
