I've had OCD for the vast majority of my life so if anyone has any question about OCD or medication to treat it feel free to ask. I've been on a number of medications over the course of my life; some have worked better than others. One of the best things to do is get a good pdoc and stick with them. The main component of my OCD has always been germs and a morbid fear of getting sick. Over the last two years I've had some very bad unwanted thoughts about becoming homeless. And if I see or have to get near homeless people I start having panic attacks. I have a lot of other "quirks" which would be long-winded to talk about. Despite my OCD, I was able to make it through college and Grad school. I have a degree in Philosophy and a Grad degree in Modul logic. I'm interested in Urban Existentialism and the implications it has on Mental Health.

Funny people, Order, Honesty, Clean environments, Art(especially conceptual art),even numbers, Philosophy (concerning the theory of isolation of the individual in an indiffrent world AKA urban-extentilism, Neroscience, Economics. My pdoc of many years who always reminds me that every day is just one day, and another chance to turn it all around!

Germs, Ignorance, Loud people with huge egos, Liars, Cheaters, Clowns, Homeless people (I have a huge phobia nothing personal) People who touch me for no apparent reason, Bad waiters, Smudge on glass, Pretenders, Change, Touching money, Public phones. Carpet. People who don't try to understand mental illness. I really dislike panic attacks, Political verbal masturbation, Hype.

Thank you for your advice...... I guess benzos would be the preferable choice over the bottle of tequila I'm contemplating in it's place... Much appreciated. now I'm off to go take my meds like a good boy.

Punk, Indie, RUSH, REM, Bad Religion, RHCP, Death Cab For Cutie, Stevie Ray Vaugh, Pink Floyd, Social D, The Bravery.

I read a lot so way too many to list. Some of my favorite writers: John Irving, Steinbeck, David Foster Wallace, Dave Eggers, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Donna Tart, Ayn Rand.

John Irving is probably my favorite writer, but I think Marquez is the greatest writer who has ever walked the face of the earth. Stahl's essential PsychoPharmacology; this is a good book to have if you take meds.

Backwoods speed hiking, Playing speed chess, Reading, Having coffee, Working-out, Learning new things.
