I've had OCD for the vast majority of my life so if anyone has any question about OCD or medication to treat it feel free to ask. I've been on a number of medications over the course of my life; some have worked better than others. One of the best things to do is get a good pdoc and stick with them. The main component of my OCD has always been germs and a morbid fear of getting sick. Over the last two years I've had some very bad unwanted thoughts about becoming homeless. And if I see or have to get near homeless people I start having panic attacks. I have a lot of other "quirks" which would be long-winded to talk about. Despite my OCD, I was able to make it through college and Grad school. I have a degree in Philosophy and a Grad degree in Modul logic. I'm interested in Urban Existentialism and the implications it has on Mental Health.

I read a lot so way too many to list. Some of my favorite writers: John Irving, Steinbeck, David Foster Wallace, Dave Eggers, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Donna Tart, Ayn Rand.
John Irving is probably my favorite writer, but I think Marquez is the greatest writer who has ever walked the face of the earth. Stahl's essential PsychoPharmacology; this is a good book to have if you take meds.
