Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)

My name is Francine, I am 25 year old Taurus, and I obviously suffer from OCD & Depression. My OCD is mainly thought based. I used to have some compulsions, but I am more obsessive. I do take medications, and have been since I was about 15 yeas old. I still live with my parents, trying to save money so one day I can move out with my boyfriend. I am a certified Ultrasound Technician, but I am not registered, so I cannot be hired until I am. As I mentioned, I volunteer in the Ultrasound Dept at the hospital where I work as a secretary to keep up with my scanning skills and education. I joined this site in hopes to make some friends that know what I go through day to day.

I am mostly obsessive. I do have some minor compulsions, but its the intrusive flashes/visions that really hit me. Most of my flashes are sexual in nature. I do have some violent ones too. I also have this constant need to confess things. For example, one night I called my ex boyfriend, who I am still friends with, and now I have this guilt, like I have to now tell my boyfriend that I called my ex. Some things I have been able to just...leave alone, but there are some things I just feel the need to confess. I have a very guilty conscience. I also am afraid to give other people my germs. I know, it's usually the other way around, but, I'm different! LOL

To name just a few...Family/BF/Friends, Sleep, Music, Sunsets, Autumn, October, Ultrasound, Manicures/Pedicures, Hearts <3, Going Online, Food, Sweatshirts/Sweatpants, Wearing Scrubs, Stuffed Animals, Word Jumbles.

Some? lol MY OCD/DEPRESSION, Fake People, Very Hot Weather, Exercising (even though I have to do it), Most Insects, My Self Confidence (I need to work on that), Cleaning, Slow Internet, Anti-Semitics, Narrow Minded People, My Weight Issues, My Glasses (sometimes).

Lifehouse is my favorite band. But in general, I like Classic/Soft Rock, Dance, Techno, Pop..

I don't read...I know, it's a shame, but I don't. Out of the books I HAVE read, my favorite is "A Walk To Remember" by Nicholas Sparks

Anything with Al Pacino, Any Vampire or Horror Movies, Various Documentaries including things on Historical Events, Animals, Space, Comedies...etc...

Sleeping, Sleeping, Slee-- oh, um, Internet, Chillin with my boyfriend, Volunteering at my hospital to keep up with my Ultrasound Scanning techniques.
