Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)

It's pretty easy to make me happy, and I tend to try too hard at things. I enjoy things like the first breath of winter, the crunch of autumn leaves, the sideways rain of thunder storms, and the warm sun on my skin. I also like smells that bring back sudden bursts of lost memories. I like watching the flames of a campfire and the breaking waves of the ocean. I find them peacful. I like the quiet of night and I love losing myself in a good book. I like kisses and my idea of "Soul Happiness" is a warm body next to me at night. My personality is pretty much a paradox, and when I grow up I want to be a good person.

Obviously, I am obsessive compulsive. I could go on and on about the things that I do. In the last year things have been easier- mostly I do things because I like to, and not because I have to anymore. I have anxiety and panic disorder, so when they act up I go back to my rituals. I was born obsessive compulsive, and over the years I became lost in a world of dispair and compulsions. It's hard to find people that understand, but my friends just call me quirky. :)

I'm a people person, and I am very easy to get along with.

I'm into things like politics, history, classic literature, and philosophy. I love horror movies, and I am addicted to the news. I love shows on Bio, A&E, and the discovery channel. I also enjoy art and I adore photography. I love doing volunteer work and I love my job. Besides that, I love hanging out with my friends and being ridiculous. Oh, and organizing things. I also like the number 4 and the fact that websites like this exist.

I don't like the number 3. I mean, can you say dirty? I don't like touching dirt and i don't like cracks or crooked lines. I don't like odd numbers in general and I don't like it when I'm interrupted while counting. I also don't like people say that taking history class is pointless and i definately don't like people that call me crazy.

Pretty much angry at the world kind of music, but I like to be able to make out the lyrics. I don't like sappy love songs or songs about stupid things like not going to rehab.
Smile Empty Soul, Third Eye Blind, Everclear, Zebrahead, Chronic Future, Papa Roach, Paramore, Egypt Central, & Three Days Grace are my favs.

The classics! My favs are 1984, Lord of the flies, Alice in Wonderland, and The Golden Compass. I'll pretty much read anything about a utopian society that turns out not to be that great.
I also like political books and zombie novels.

Horror movies rock my socks. Anything with action, violence, or gore. Zombies rock the hardest. Bonus points for combos =)
I also like historical films and independents.

I run my college's politics and history clubs, I help out with the literary club, and I am a librarian. As such, I help people write essays and research papers. I also organize all the books and put them into alpha-numerical order =)
I also work as a waitress. I volunteer at a children's hospital, at the local animal shelter, and appear (when I can) at the soup kitchen. I also give speeches on domestic abuse and substance abuse. I bowl, take photographs, and play Mario Kart with my friends. I like to lay out under the stars and talk about things like fate and life after death. Philosophers are my weakness.
