I'm a simple rather shy computer geek with ocd. I work for a computer corporation handling network infrastructures administration and doing test engineering on notebook and device development. So I like playing with technologies and learning about them and even hacking them into something useful. I am a ps3 gamer, I grew up gaming and it mostly helped me self teach myself on computers. I use to travel a lot just for fun and I enjoy reading and sharing opinions.and tastes in music.

If anyone ever needs pc help, I'm sorta the guy. I'm heavily nerdy

Being a geek, travelling, learning new things, cars, music, rainy days, sleeping all day for once, hacking software with good hardware, fixing things. Computers and books. Laid back and simple people, quiet evenings and lazy days. The cold...esp fall or winter as I don't ever need to wear a jacket even in the snow.

Rude people, dumb people (people who are stubborn and.unwilling to learn of listen), my ocd, judgmental people, hot and.humid places.

Hey Valente... I hate to suddenly drop in out of the blue to ask for a favour... but well, here I am. I am really stuck and frustrated. I am trying to help my mom fix her computer and the people at microsoft are d!cks. I know what needs to happen but i have no idea how to find the right answer because I am not a hardcore coder type. Basically, microsoft tried to just pass the buck on it but it is a windows issue as best I can tell.

There is an exact description of the problem here: Resume Loader

Her netbook lost power while in hibernation mode. Now it gets to the resume windows loader page and halts, waiting for input. However, as near as I can tell in every description of anything I find, the keyboard isn't enabled during this phase and so you end up stuck there needing to make a selection but being unable to do so. I am going to try an external keyboard if anyone near her has one I can get her to borrow.

I just need to disrupt the boot cycle but F8 or F2 did nothing. I assume because it isn't starting completely from the beginning of the cycle at all but somewhere in the labyrinth of windows crap code.

If you, in your divine cyber powers, have any nugget of wisdom... I'd be grateful.

thanks man
