I have joined this Site in the hope of finding others with this disorder, with whom to have encouragement, networking and comradery. I would especially like to have communication and companionship from young women who either have O.C.D. themselves, or else who could strongly relate to someone who does have it. Imagining that this could occur, I would hope to use the messaging feature of this Site to set-up a descrete, anonymous, telephone friendship. This is especially true concerning any females in or near the Birminghan, Alabama area.
Also, may I say that after considerable personal research, I have found substantial relief from this affliction by using "alternative therapies" (in particular, the use of nutritional supplements and medicinal herbs). This is a topic that I would be glad to discuss with anyone who might be interested. I promise that any such discussion would not turn into an attempt on my part to sell you anything

I like music, both listening to it and playing it; "professional audio", and working with audio and/or video recording. I am also very fond of "intelligent converstion", especially concerning philosophy, theology, and/or politics. I have a fascination with learning; and pride myself on being able to carry on an intelligent conversation on almost any topic, and an esoteric discourse on a wide range of fields.
Since buying a very capable Sony Vaio all-in-one computer during 2011, I`ve wound-up "discovering the Internet all over again", and have become a little addicted to being on-line. Finally, a relaxing diversion of mine is to drink gourmet tea, or a good "N A" beer; and "ponder the universe", (especially the metaphysical).

I dislike lifestyles of greed or excess; and insensitive or mercenary people (which unfortunately, is an opinion that I`ve adopted because of being chronically subjected to the victimization and abuses of such people).
From an "OCD related" standpoint, I dislike: chaos; "odd numbers"; some "contamination issues" (though I`ve largely overcome this matter); and prolonged tedium (especially because I can mentally fatigue fairly easily).

I like Rock and Pop music (and some modern Country), ranging from contemporary stuff to classic Rock.

I don`t read a lot; mainly just reading magazines or computer-screen text. As I have stated earlier, I have a tendency to mentally fatigue fairly easily, and reading can be a prime situation for that to happen.

I`m not really into watching movies. However, every so often I will watch on TV some onetime very popular film, mainly just see why it was so popular; and to keep abreast of contemporary culture.

They would include: Playing guitar and music in general; cooking; working on my computer; and watching TV.
