just 'graduated' from a 4 week intensive CBT sprogram, primarily for my OCD (in relation to obsessive negative thoughts) Started new meds (past 2 weeks) -cymbalta 120, 60 in the morn and 60 at night, and ativan .5mg in morn and .5mg at night.

looking to greatly decrease my obsessive nature with the help of thereapy and medication. i've struggled with this my whole life, but was never able to pinpoint what exactly it was that was bothering me all these years. Now that i know i can manage my symptom, i will do my Best.

always up for suggestions and success stories for inspiration! looking to chat with others who struggle with a similar nature of ocd.

I have been on it for for a few years and it works pretty good but I wanted to see if I could find a medication that worked for me but without the sexual side effects of Prozac, and my doctor said to try Effexor.

hi, sorry I didn't get back to you. I take Celexa and do CBT for my OCD for a few months, it's working. What about you?

Hi Amelia, Yes I have taken Prozac for quite some time, but when my doctor retired and I started with a new one recently, I thought I would treat it as a fresh start with my OCD. He prescribed Effexor but now I'm not sure if I want to take it because I've read that the side effects can be bad. A doctor on the tribe suggested that Cymbalta might be better because it's in the same class as Effexor but has less side effects. So I was wondering about your experience with Cymbalta - the side effects, etc.?
